Its Friday! Wow! – this cloud cover this morning feels AMAZING! The heat blast was good, and I am not complaining, but this cooler temp is so nice. NO I don’t want Winter & Rainy season yet – I can wait longer for sweaters and boots. I am basking in the warm evenings, my lavender bug spray, and my pink sparkly lights in my backyard. Last night I made the most delicious Shrimp Salad for dinner, it was crisp, cool, light in flavor, heavy in satisfying crunch and filling!

Ingredients:
Crisp Ice Berg Lettuce (hand torn for optimal crunch)
Heirloom Yellow Ripe Tomato
Sliced Red Radishes
Sliced Green Onions
Chunky Torn (not cut) Avocado
Old Fashioned Cucumber Peeled, Seeded, & 1/2 Moon Sliced
Baby Shrimp Meat
Shredded Cheese
Thousand Island Dressing
Finished with 1/4 Lime Squished All Over the Salad
Fresh Ground Pepper & Salt

How about a bit of clarification – DADU’s & ADU’s
These are becoming more common in Seattle. Seattle is creating Urban density by allowing certain lot sizes to build a “Tiny Home/Cottage” on the property.

DADU = Detached Accessory Dwelling Units
AADU = Attached Accessory Dwelling Unit

An accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is a separate living space within a house or on the same property as an existing house. These units are not legal unless they have been established through a permit process. A legally permitted unit in the home is called an attached accessory dwelling unit (AADU). A legally permitted unit on the property (but not within the home) is called a detached accessory dwelling unit (DADU) or backyard cottage. Tiny houses, with foundations, are considered DADUs.

My Hawthorne 4015 has both a DADU & an AADU – A Great concept, still in the early stages of acceptance. Unlike other cities – we are not full of High Rise Buildings – by adding AADU’s &/or DADU’s we are creating more homes & places for people to live in our popular city & areas.
