Welcome To The Final Quarter Of 2023 With Theresa Ahdieh

Its FRIDAY & The end of September!  Let me be the first to welcome you to the Final Quarter of 2023!

I want to first invite you to some fun events happening in the next 2 weeks:

  • Tomorrow Saturday September 30th from 2pm – 6pm come join me for a beverage at Barks & Brew @ Hellbent Brewery on Lake City Way!
  • Next Saturday October 7th from 9am to 12noon is Shred & Recycling at my office in Northgate *301 NE 100th St. Seattle 98125 (cross streets 100th & 4th)  All shredding needs to be staple & paperclip free please.

NOW – HOLY MOLY – I have done a thing!  I have been my worst First Time homebuyer!  What an experience to follow my own advice, control my emotions and make logical decisions, second guessing if this is the “right place to buy” and all the other “scary” stuff & feelings that being a “Home Buyer” right now.

But – I did it!  I am under contract and will close on my new Condo at the end of October or sooner.  Yes!  I did get pre-approved first!  Thank goodness!  But looking and trying to figure out and decide what is the best place to live in was HARD!  I found a few – but those had concerns that I kept fidgeting about – I had looked and almost bought a House Boat on Lake Union (amazingly fun); in the end the costs and unpredictable moorage 1 year lease with no “safety net” of increases for the next year rates – was the deal killer.  (if you want more of that story – give me a call and we can laugh about it together!)

Then I found 2 adorable condos on the water: One was on Eastlake (high price, low HOA) made this affordable, but…… then there was the condo on Shilshole – High HOA, and just at the cusp of being uncomfortable price – and just around 800sqft – So – I passed on both of those (perfect location) condos.

The Condo that I am under contract with was the one – I immediately sat down on the couch and started to decide where my wall art was going to hang, how my Livingroom furniture could be placed (might need more furniture) and the full size w/d in the unit, with it my bedroom & office windows facing East, and my oversized deck, kitchen, living space all west facing!  Perfect and no funny feelings at all!  This is what I tell my friends & clients it should feel like when you know its the right place!  Who would have THUNK!  it really felt this great!!!  LOL!

I know the word on the street is this is an awful market – but I think any market is a great time to be a buyer or seller.  We just have to work on negotiations, mindset, use the tools we have to make everything work to make dreams come to a reality.  Because I just did!
Lets Talk Soon about Dreams becoming Reality!
Hope to See you in the next two weeks for a Hug & some laughter!

With an Abundance of Gratitude,
Theresa
